A Delegation from the UAE Visited SCGC
On the afternoon of September 15, a delegation from the United Arab Emirates (hereinafter “UAE”) led by HE Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, visited Shenzhen Capital Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “SCGC”). SCGC’s Chairman of the Board Mr. Ni Zewang and Vice President Mr. Zhang Jian attended the meeting, and 9 entrepreneurs of SCGC’s portfolio companies participated in a round table.
On behalf of SCGC, Mr. Ni Zewang extended his warm welcome to the delegation. He said that the UAE is an important influencer in the development of the global economy. He believed that SCGC’s investment focuses on high-tech enterprises and frontier technologies, which match the economic direction of the UAE. He was looking forward to strengthening cooperation with the UAE in many fields such as science and technology, investment, finance, new energy, etc., to realize mutual benefits and a win-win situation. With its excellent track record and extensive resources, SCGC would be an unparalleled platform for the UAE to connect with China’s frontier enterprises. Mr. Ni Zewang hoped that the two sides would establish a regular communication mechanism and deep-level cooperation to create synergies between the two markets.
HE Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri expressed that the UAE and China have been working together for a long time, and the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two sides is constantly being strengthened and enhanced to reach new heights. The trade and investment between the two countries has seen historic growth. The UAE is committed to boosting its economic growth through the development of a new economy, and to this end has formulated many preferential policies to attract high-tech enterprises. He was very pleased to see that the companies attending this roundtable belong to sectors that are highly relevant to the UAE's focus. He also felt the synergy between the UAE and SCGC; and hoped to have further interactions with SCGC and its portfolio companies, exploring various opportunities for cooperation.
At the meeting, Mr. Zhang Jian gave a brief introduction of SCGC to the delegation. The nine portfolio companies of SCGC, in the fields of financial technology, new energy, information technology, intelligent education, etc. delivered introductory speeches and exchanged views with the delegation on potential cooperation opportunities.
